A Successful Solo Practice Does Not Have To Keep Growing
Eventually you do have to take a step back and ask yourself - is this enough?
A successful solo practice does not have to keep growing, and eventually you do have to take a step back and ask yourself - is this enough?
That is one of the hardest things to do as a solo law practice owner. Defining enough and am I successful enough as well as content enough with what I have built.
Even when you say yes, it is, deciding what not to do and what to do, are hard choices, as well as having personal and financial implications.
I have spent about the past 10 years in my own practice thinking about, and acting on, things that result in a curated solo practice that is more about me than ever.
I suppose I have leveraged my own freedom more than ever in this regard.
Just saying - do not underestimate how long, how hard as well as how counter intuitive it is to “ungrow”, for want of a better word, a legal practice.
